KEY FEATURES

  • Class 2 stranded bare copper with XLPE insulation and semiconducting conductor and insulation screens applied by triple extrusion.

  • Galvanized steel wire armour for three-core cable; aluminium wires for single-core cable.

  • Red special PVC outer sheath; UV resistance is available on request. Separate single- and three-core tables list the available voltage/size combinations.

SELECTION NOTES

  • Select the exact U0/U(Um) voltage, core count and conductor size from the corresponding table. Confirm system earthing, load, fault level and duration, route, grouping and accessory requirements with BURY CABLE.

  • The illustrations show copper tape screening. Confirm the metallic screen dimensions, short circuit duty, bonding and earthing arrangement before final design; the semiconducting layers are separately described in the construction.

  • Confirm UV requirements, chemical exposure and flame-test documentation. The stated -20 to 60°C operating range and 90°C maximum conductor temperature are separate limits.

  • Confirm armour material, gland dimensions, bending and pulling limits, and armour bonding for the selected single- or three-core construction.

FAQ

Which voltage classes are listed?

3.6/6 (7.2), 6/10 (12), 8.7/15 (17.5), 12/20 (24) and 18/30 (36) kV. Sizes differ by voltage and core count.

What armour does this range use?

Galvanized steel wire armour for three-core cable; aluminium wires for single-core cable.

Is the semiconducting screen the metallic screen?

No. The illustrations show a separate copper tape layer. Confirm its dimensions and fault duty with BURY CABLE.

Is the red sheath automatically UV resistant?

UV resistance is stated as an option and must be included in the order specification.

Are current ratings given by the dimension tables?

No. Obtain ratings for the actual installation and confirm screen bonding, ambient or soil conditions, grouping and load with BURY CABLE.
