This BS 6724 single-core aluminium cable is rated at 1900/3300V (1.9/3.3kV) and combines XLPE insulation, aluminium wire armour (AWA) and an LSZH outer sheath. Confirm the conductor form and class, final insulation grade and approved construction drawing for the selected size before ordering.
Use the dedicated AWA construction. Both the single-core construction entry and the parameter table identify aluminium wire armour. Confirm the circuit arrangement, armour bonding and earthing, core identification and termination requirements with the project designer. The general colour table lists brown or blue for one core; agree the required identification for the order.
Plan for the dimensions of this voltage-rated cable. The 1 x 50 mm² entry has an approximate overall diameter of 19.4 mm and weight of 600 kg/km; 1 x 300 mm² is listed at 32.8 mm and 1900 kg/km. Confirm final production dimensions, handling requirements and the suitability of glands and terminations.

The original technical table lists 8 times the overall diameter for sizes of 25 mm² and above. All eight sizes here are within that range. Confirm the applicable installation and pulling requirements for the cable supplied.
