BURY CABLE BS 5467 1900/3300V armoured power cables support fixed power distribution in industrial plants, infrastructure developments, utility installations and building projects. The range combines XLPE insulation, polymeric bedding, wire armour and a PVC outer sheath for routes requiring mechanical protection.
Typical installation routes include outdoor cable runs, ducts and direct burial where the selected cable design meets the project specification and site conditions. Specify the circuit voltage, conductor material, core arrangement and installation method before selecting accessories or confirming a cable size.
This page provides separate parameter tables for single-core copper, single-core aluminium, three-core copper and three-core aluminium cables. Single-core tables specify aluminium wire armour (AWA); three-core tables specify steel wire armour. Use the relevant table for the chosen construction, and confirm electrical ratings and installation requirements for the actual circuit.

1900/3300V rating, equivalent to 1.9/3.3kV, for the range presented on this page.
Single-core circular stranded copper sizes from 50 to 1000 mm² and single-core aluminium sizes from 50 to 300 mm².
Three-core stranded copper sizes from 16 to 400 mm² and three-core aluminium sizes from 16 to 300 mm², including the starred conductor variants shown in the tables.
AWA construction for the listed single-core cables and steel wire armour for the listed three-core cables.
PVC outer sheath, with separate tables for conductor details, insulation and sheath thicknesses, approximate diameters and weights.
46 specification entries across four parameter tables. Values belong to the stated material, core arrangement and complete row designation.
Start with the correct table. Single-core copper has 13 entries; single-core aluminium has 8; three-core copper has 13; and three-core aluminium has 12. Do not transfer an overall diameter, weight or armour size from a different construction.
Keep asterisks in the specification. In the three-core copper table, the original note identifies starred entries as shaped stranded conductors, Class 2. In the three-core aluminium table, starred entries are solid-shaped conductors, Class 1. The paired 3 x 35 and 3 x 35* rows are distinct variants.
Check the complete circuit design, including load current, route length, voltage drop, fault conditions and installation environment. Overall diameters and weights are approximate. Confirm the final cable drawing, bending requirements, glands, terminations and drum lengths before ordering.
Confirm the conductor form and class, insulation compound and bedding material for the offered design. The family construction table lists material alternatives; the specific parameter table and its notes should be read together with the approved supply specification.
Treat the gallery as construction references. The third cross-section labels a lead alloy protection layer, which is not specified in this page’s standard construction table. Do not assume lead protection is included. Request a separate lead-covered design if that barrier is required.
For quotation, provide voltage, conductor material, number of cores, cross-sectional area and starred variant where applicable, quantity, installation conditions, required standard, sheath colour, packing and delivery destination. State any smoke, halogen, fire-survival or environmental performance requirements separately.
BS 5467 600/1000V XLPE PVC armoured cable range — compare the separate lower-voltage range using its own construction and size tables.
BS 6724 1900/3300V XLPE LSZH armoured cable range — review the same-voltage LSZH sheath alternative against the project’s smoke and halogen requirements.
EEMUA 133 600/1000V lead-covered armoured cable to BS 5467 — review a separate lead-protected construction; this linked page is rated 600/1000V and is not a substitute for the 1900/3300V range.
The four parameter tables cover single-core copper 50–1000 mm², single-core aluminium 50–300 mm², three-core copper 16–400 mm² and three-core aluminium 16–300 mm². There are 46 entries in total, including starred variants. Use the complete row designation when requesting a quotation.
The single-core parameter tables specify aluminium wire armour. The three-core parameter tables specify steel wire armour, and the construction table describes the multicore armour as galvanized steel wire armour. Confirm the required bonding and earthing arrangement with the project design.
The copper table’s starred entries are shaped stranded conductors, Class 2; the aluminium table’s starred entries are solid-shaped conductors, Class 1. The copper 3 x 35 and 3 x 35* rows list approximate diameters of 34.8 and 31.1 mm. The aluminium equivalents list 32.7 and 29.7 mm. Keep the selected variant explicit.
The original technical table lists a temperature rating of 0°C to +90°C. It gives a bending radius of 6 times overall diameter for 1.5–16 mm² and 8 times overall diameter for 25 mm² and above. Confirm the limits applicable to the supplied cable, installation temperature and pulling conditions before installation.
No lead layer is specified in this page’s standard construction table. The third gallery image is a reference for a lead-protected variant. If lead protection is required, request a separate construction and confirm its voltage rating, dimensions and supporting technical data.
The listed outer sheath is PVC. LSZH requirements should be assessed using a suitable LSZH construction, such as the linked BS 6724 range. The table lists BS EN 60332-1-2 flame-retardant performance; this page does not establish a fire-survival duration or a CWZ/PH classification. Confirm any required test evidence for the offered cable.
Send the 1900/3300V rating, copper or aluminium conductor, single-core or three-core arrangement, size and starred variant, required length, installation environment, project standard, packing and delivery destination. Include any specific sheath, smoke, fire or chemical-protection requirements so the offered construction can be checked.
